Armando Mortet is part of the fourth generation of a French family of sculptors, goldsmiths, engravers and carvers that, having formed in Florence, later moved to Rome where it has been working since 1890. The products of the Bottega D’Arte Mortet are in keeping with the tradition of Renaissance workshops, ranging from sculptures to jewellery and silverware, repoussage works, sacred art, medals and bronze art. Heirs of the art that was defined as ‘sublime’ by Clement VII Medici, the works of the workshop embody all the experience gained in over 120 years.
