Silvia Giorgetti can be described as a “fabric alchemist”. In her textile design workshop, Silvia designs and creates hand-painted fabrics, transforming rolls of silk, cotton, velvet, linen and hemp into textile objects and clothing by using various techniques, often more than one technique at the same time, in particular, the Indonesian batik and Japanese shibori methods. Silvia is also very attentive to fabric recycling and to the use of natural dyes. Among her creations is the original “The journey jacket” line, reversible travelling jackets.
