Restauro Tappeti D’Arte

One of Italy’s oldest workshops for the restoration of artistic carpets. The workshop is currently run by Benedetto Bumaguin and Orna Bachar, husband and wife, but it dates back to the early 1900s, when Benedetto Bumaguin’s grandfather, the famous Alberto Meschoulam, born in Istanbul, Turkey, the cradle of the great masters of carpet restoration, opened the first workshop in Genoa. Orna Bachar learned the tricks of the trade from Benedetto Bumaguin’s grandmother and mother and moved the workshop to Pietrasanta, in Versilia, in 2006. With over thirty years in the business,  Orna Bachar is a true expert in the field and a master in the restoration of rare and old carpets and tapestries, true works of art.
