Andrea Restelli is an extraordinary keyboard instrument-maker and expert, who has been making faithful replicas of harpsichords, fortepianos and clavichords since 1985. He was the first in the world to rebuild the 1749 Gottfried Silbermann fortepiano, kept in Nuremberg, identical to the one played by Bach. He has recently made replicas of early nineteenth-century fortepianos, such as the Conrad Graf and Johann Fritz. His workshop is filled with wood processing machinery, tools and wooden materials. The wires are made of iron and red and yellow brass, just like in the 1700s. A must-stop for connoisseurs who enjoy playing music with period instruments.
