Arte della miniatura

It all began in 1980 with Franco Chiesi, master miniaturist, who opened his workshop-laboratory in Florence. A family passion for art, so much so that his daughter Fulvia became a teacher of painting on wood and restoration, and then decided to follow in her father's footsteps and devote herself to the ancient medieval art of the Codici Miniati, using the brushpoint technique with watercolour, tempera or acrylics. The supports are among the most varied, from the classic parchment to ivory, from wood to stone, silver and bronze. Small, delicate, works of art.
