Antico Setificio Fiorentino

Antique looms show the passage of time since 1786, the year when the Antico Setificio began producing customised fabrics in the heart of San Frediano, using ancient looms that give the finished cloths a timeless appeal. There are many lines, each characterised by something precious: Broccatelli is made of golden linen and chenille, fabric with eighteenth-century handlooms; Le Roy, which was first ordered by Maria de’ Medici, famous worldwide for its sumptuousness; Saia Fiorentina, a traditional fourteenth-century Florentine fabric made from pure silk or mixed with linen. The Antico Setificio Fiorentino also manufactures finished products for the home and for boats, as well as those made to customers’ designs.
