The Museum of Jewellery in Vicenza officially becomes a permanent museum dedicated to jewelry Made in Italy

On December 15, 2020, the Museum of Jewelry in Vicenza officially became a permanent museum dedicated to Made in Italy jewelry, launching online the preview of the new edition. The goal is to continue the diffusion of the culture and values of Italian jewelry, enhancing the territories and companies and keeping alive the bond with visitors, collaborators and enthusiasts. The protagonist, therefore, is the territory in terms of creativity and manufacturing, which is manifested through the creative, artistic, productive and technological excellence of Italian jewelry.

As pointed out by Marco Carniello – Group Brand Director Jewellery & Fashion of IEG:
“The Jewellery Museum is increasingly becoming a cultural reference point for the entire sector and is consolidating its role within the rich artistic offer of the City of Vicenza, which is historically linked to the world of gold.”

The 9 rooms of the Museum present an entirely Italian selection, dedicated to the production of the great maisons and the small and medium-sized companies of the gold districts, to the excellence of craftsmanship, to artistic experimentation and to the research of independent designers. The designers have given value to the project thanks to formal, functional, technological and performance responses, the protagonists are also the jewels of the future, those that highlight the potential of materials, technologies and innovative scenarios.

While waiting to visit the museum live in the beautiful spaces of the Basilica, the words of the curator Alba Cappellieri, Professor of Jewellery Design at the Polytechnic of Milan: “The new edition is a tribute to Italian beauty, to the excellent workmanship of our goldsmith territories, to the art, fashion and design that represent Made in Italy in the world. Jewelry creates unusual interconnections that will amaze visitors. The new Italian edition allows us to focus our gaze on a fascinating kaleidoscope of jewelry, bringing together contexts that are usually distant and demonstrating the solidity of the national goldsmith system.”
