On Monday, July 6, 2020, in the garden of the Prefecture of Milan, was held the ceremony for the awarding of the honors of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic. On that occasion the Diploma of Knight of the Grand Cross, signed by the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella, was awarded to Franco Cologni, President of the Fondazione Cologni dei Mestieri d'Arte: a prestigious title with a high symbolic value, which confirms a truly exceptional entrepreneurial and philanthropic career. The diplomas were awarded in the presence of the President of the Lombardy Region, Attilio Fontana, the Deputy Mayor of Milan, Anna Scavuzzo, the Deputy Mayor of the Metropolitan City, Arianna Censi and the Prefect of Milan, Renato Saccone. The Prefect has rewarded citizens who have given prestige to the country with important contributions in the fields of culture, art, economy, public offices and activities carried out for social, philanthropic and humanitarian purposes, or for long and distinguished services in civil and military careers.
