XXVI edition of Artigianato e Palazzo

For 26 years the Associazione Giardino Corsini, engaged in Florence in the enhancement and protection of the quality of Italian and international craftsmanship, organizes and promotes the exhibition market Artigianato e Palazzo (Crafts and Palace), under the guidance of the creators Giorgiana Corsini and Neri Torrigiani. Every year, a selection of about one hundred of the best artisans from the various regions of Italy but also from abroad is chosen, who show their skills in the seventeenth-century Corsini Garden in Florence. Between the lemon groves and the garden avenues, the artisans recreate a corner of their workshops to let the public discover traditional craftsmanship proposed live and often made current by contemporary technology and design, but also the extreme care in the choice of raw materials and in the realization of details, which make each item unique. The XXVI edition of the exhibition, from 17 to 20 September, will offer the public a new path of research among those who are witnesses of the great artisan tradition, with a focus on the new generations, as well as an original program of collateral initiatives. There will be interesting exhibitions under the Loggia del Buontalenti and in the Ballroom of Palazzo Corsini, which for the first time will be open to the public, and an important fundraising campaign, in favour of cultural heritage, "Giambologna e la Fata Morgana" aimed at the precious monumental complex of the Fonte della Fata Morgana, to be discovered among the Tuscan hills.
