Until July 1, it is possible to visit the exhibition of artistic handicrafts Il velo di Tisbe, organized by Confartigianato-Imprese Udine, in the suggestive setting of Palazzo Valvason-Morpurgo in Udine. This year is the theme of the re-reading of the myth of Piramo and Tisbe, a fascinating challenge for the artisans present in the exhibition, all seen by the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region, who revisited the story through different angles, sensibilities and materials. 27 works exhibited through the use of wood and wrought iron, glass and mosaic, binding and upholstery, weaving and tailoring, goldsmithery and silverware, until restoration. The creativity and technical ability of the artisans revolve around the love of the lovers of the Metamorphoses of Ovid, a theme taken from Shakespeare in A Midsummer Night’s Dream. And the dream is the key to reading the exhibition: a visionary dimension related to artistic creation, a utopian thought capable of imagining the future.
