The latest recognition in order of time is the inclusion in the REI, the Register of Intangible Heritage, to be exact in the Book of Living Human Treasures, but really Master Platimiro Fiorenza has received countless awards. Moreover, he has devoted his entire life to gold-smithing, given that at only seven years of age, he began to work in gold, silver, and coral, making his first engravings in his father's workshop. Apart from making crafted pieces, some of which are found in the collections of the Cathedral of Monreale and the Vatican Museums, the Master is also involved in precious restorations.
