Tradition and experimentation. This is the combination that gives life to the works by Marino Moretti, a skillful ceramist who creates finely crafted artifacts featuring a very unique style, bright colors and amazing subjects. Marino uses several different techniques, such as majolica, engobe, bucchero, and enamels, colored crystallines and oxides of various kinds. In addition to a series of solo exhibitions, Marino has showcased his works in New York, Chicago, Atlanta, San Francisco, Melbourne, Toronto and Muscat. His workshop/gallery is currently housed in the fortress of Viceno (Via del Castello Vecchio, 12), a building dating back to the 9th century and overlooking Orvieto, where the showroom is based.
