This is the longest running manufacturer in Sicily, and for nine generations it has been making ceramics. The records in Alessandro Iudici's possession trace the business back to at least 1693. At the time the factory made mostly brick and tiles, and in the 1800s the factory enjoyed a certain splendour, but the real boom began in the early 1900s. Today the process is very traditional, and follows Mediterranean and Sicilian tradition with garden pots, dinner services, and objects made according to ancient techniques. The colours are also prepared in the workshop and mixed with a stick, while for the glazes, the sand is collected in the surrounding countryside.
